マンホールカード 京都編 Manhole card of Kyoto

そうだ！マンホールカードもらいに行こう！

 Let's get the Manhole card of Kyoto city!

マンホールカード持ってますか？まだという方！ぜひ京都上下水道局までお越しください。

 Do you have a Manhole card? 

If you want to get the card you should go to Kyoto's Water Supply and Drink Bureau.

京都市のマンホールは、中心に京都市の紋章(市章)、周りは京都御所の『御所車』(ごしょくるま)の車輪模様なのだとか。

御所車とは牛車(ぎっしゃ)の俗称らしいのですが、アニメ『おじゃる丸』で、うしが引いていておじゃる丸が乗ってたあの乗り物です。

その車輪の模様とは。。。やられました。

このマンホールを見たなら御所の御所車を見に行ってみると良いかもです。

 If you get the card, let's go to Gosyo and then seeing the wheel pattern!

 京都駅八条口を出て徒歩2分。

 There's 2min on foot from Kyoto station, Hachijo-Fuchi.

カードを受け取るには、入り口を入ってすぐ右手のサービスコーナーを入ります。

 You enter the entrance and turn on the right.

そして一枚の紙に、来た目的や出身などのアンケートのような簡単な項目に記入をしたら貰うことが出来ます。

 Writing some questionair on the paper so you can get the card!

建物入り口の側にあります。

 There's front of the building on left side of entrance.

なぜか、、、天ぷら油？燃料のためにあるのでしょうが、何故に上下水道局の前に？

It's used-cooked-oil. I think it's used for fuel.
